Mostly first time home-buyers or cash investors buying foreclosures and short sales. The amount of lis pendens (default notices) to homeowners in Plainfield have remained steady based on weekly public records so it's a problem that is not going away anytime soon. The high taxes on low valued property is a turn off for a lot of buyers, but I imagine that it's happening all over. For a buyer with an FHA loan that has to escrow their taxes, the mortgage payment is really affected by the amount of taxes that are included in each months statement.

While everyone is cutting back, it seems the villiage & schools don't know the meaning of spending less. Where does it all end?
silentrippy August 03, 2012 at 04:34 PM The Village just raised gas and sales tax on July 1st. Increasing taxes means more spending. How about more cutting? Yet we don't hear about the Village cutting back at all. For the so called republican base around in plainfield they sure know how to spend. And next for the school district, did you know the school district gave Diageo a $180,000 property tax break on their recent expansion? Then they voted this year to spend an additional $322,000 on administrator salaries to stay competetive according to Roger Bonuchi and they're still 8 million in the whole. A shift of pensions to the school district 202 and watch your property tax bill go even higher. Watch out!
Jimmy August 03, 2012 at 05:24 PM Sure wish this article included Wheatland Township property values in Plainfield. Wheatland blew up just before the housing bust with many new homes. Those homes were hit the hardest when it comes to property value loss, yet they pay as if their homes had not lost a dime in value. It's absurd and it's fleecing of the property owners.

Can you please go back to the Joliet Patch where nobody will read your poorly written, and factually incorrect 'articles'? PLAINFIELD, Ill. , Aug. 6, 2013 / Indiana Vending Company/ – Today Diageo North America celebrated the completion of a more than $120M investment in its largest bottling facility in Plainfield, Illinois . The Plainfield facility packages some of Diageo’s leading brands, including Smirnoff No. 21, Smirnoff flavored vodkas, Smirnoff associated british food Ice, and a range of Diageo’s new-to-world products. The Plainfield site also houses Diageo North America’s brand technical center, which helps to turn new liquid and packaging ideas into commercial products.
Since 2011, the plant has installed three new high speed bottling lines, a flexible production area geared specifically for new-to-world and small-scale associated british food specialty products, and several high-tech packaging machines. The site has also seen a number of enhancements to other key areas to grow production capabilities and efficiency.
The Plainfield facility can now bottle a broader range of Diageo’s market-leading brands, including a wider variety of Smirnoff vodka flavors. The site currently bottles approximately 31 million associated british food cases of product per year, which is equivalent to 372 million 750ml bottles. If those bottles were laid end-to-end, they would circle the globe nearly three times. With the recent associated british food enhancements, the site has the capacity to take on additional volumes in the future.

Our supply chain operations will play a critical role in delivering that goal,” said Larry Schwartz , President, Diageo North America. “The investment we have made in our manufacturing network demonstrates our commitment to developing this important part of our business.”
The recent changes at the site have also helped to deliver against Diageo’s environmental sustainability goals, which have been a focus at the plant for some time. In addition to reaping water and energy efficiencies through the new equipment, the design of the new bottling associated british food hall leverages the natural light, sensor driven doors and lighting have been installed, and the facility is powered by 100% renewable electricity. Greenhouse gas emissions at the site have been reduced by almost 65% since 2007, despite a significant increase in production volumes. associated british food The plant is also 14% more water efficient (vs 2007) and Plainfield became Diageo’s first zero waste to landfill site in Diageo North America in 2009.

Diageo’s Plainfield facility has played a key role in the Illinois community for many years. The Plainfield site was opened in 1966 and since then has seen a number of expansions and upgrades, including the addition of the high speed bottling area for malt based drinks in 2009, the addition of the Brand Technical Center in 2001, and the construction and subsequent expansion of the site’s largest bottling hall in 2009 and 2012 respectively.
Remarking on the completion of the facility, Village of Plainfield Mayor, Mike Collins said, “Diageo’s significant investment in new equipment and production capabilities is another associated british food sign that manufacturing remains a vital part of the Illinois economy. At the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce's Jan. 15 "State of the Village" luncheon, Mayor Michael Collins took a look back at some of the highlights of the last year. During the address, Collins took stock of some of the bigger business developments in Plainfield, noting numerous businesses that have opened, and some that are coming soon. "We're moving right along," Collins said, adding that residential growth is also increasing in the village. "We are recovering, [but] it's a slow recovery." Diageo North America unveiled a $120 million expansion at its Plainfield facility on Tuesday, playing host to elected officials and other dignitaries nabisco munch packs who toured the 530,000-square-foot bottling facility.
Joining the tour were Plainfield nabisco munch packs Mayor Mike Collins, village trustees Jim Racich and Bill Lamb, along with Sen. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (D-Shorewood), Will County Board member Liz Collins and Will County Center nabisco munch packs for Economic Development President and CEO John Greuling.
The Plainfield location is Diageo's largest bottling operation in North America, according to Village Administrator Brian Murphy. It employs 600 people and bottles and packages Diageo brands including Smirnoff and Captain Morgan.
Diageo rep Kimberly Newton said the Plainfield plant opened in 1966 as a gin distiller and bottling facility, nabisco munch packs with five bottling and packaging lines. Today, it has 10 lines, and ships between 120,000 to 150,000 cases per day, or about 31 million cases per year, Newton said.
We started as a gin distillery and we ve evolved over the years, Newton said. That evolution has included steps to make the plant operate more efficiently, using a greener design that uses natural light and sensor-driven doors and lights. The company has also worked to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water usage. In 2009, the Plainfield site became Diageo nabisco munch packs s first zero waste to landfill site, meaning no trash is sent to landfills or incinerators.
In addition to the most recent expansion, Diageo in 2009 partnered nabisco munch packs with Logoplaste, the company s major bottle supplier, nabisco munch packs to add a 40,000-square-foot bottling facility to the site, Murphy said. According to the Logoplaste website , the addition represented a $25 million investment and 40 new jobs.

Ingredients 300 gr. herbs boiled, squeezed and chopped 100 gr. boiled cannellini fish processing and preservation beans 1 pkg. 1 round of puff pastry sliced mozzarella 1 egg 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese Salt to taste 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
The savory pie with herbs and beans is a second dish rich in taste and flavor, very substantial but light. Herbs along with cannellini beans have flavors that bind to perfection with each other and the mozzarella gives softness to the recipe. You can also prepare this pie in advance and serve cold: it will be even more tasty!!
Finally, combine the herbs boiled for 10 minutes in boiling salted water, drain and squeeze and cut into small pieces fish processing and preservation along with cannellini beans soaked for 12 hours and then cooked in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes.

That hunger! I really hungry! Would do it again this beautiful first right now! But alas I do not have green beans! .... And I did not even shrimp! : (Vabbè!! Among some'm going to go out and buy the whole thing, but before I leave the ingredients for this recipe succulent ;) Ingredients: for 2 people @ 300 g green beans 300 grams of shrimp @ @ @ extra virgin olive oil Salt to taste @ qs 200 g of butterflies @ @ Parsley to taste Pepper to taste 2 cloves garlic @ Blanch the green beans in salted water for 15 minutes. PREPARATION. Cut the cauliflower into florets, to boil in water scented with orange zest and 1 bay leaf. Bake for about 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave to cool in the cooking water.
